CLIFFORD A. (ALLEN) CASTLEMAN, Sergeant – Planning and Training
Castleman began his law enforcement career in Martin, TN while
attending college at UT Martin. He graduated with “Highest
Academic Honors” from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training
Academy in 1987. After joining the Madison County Sheriff’s
Office in 1988, he served in the Patrol and Warrant Division.
In 1996, he was assigned to the newly formed School Resource
Officer Unit. He served in this capacity until 2005. He is
currently assigned to Planning and Training; where he lends
assistance with In-Service Training. He also conducts Internal
Investigations, coordinates Neighborhood Watch and supervises
the deputies assigned to School Resource. His areas of training
include Basic and Advanced Traffic Crash Investigation, Incident
Command, Instructor Development, Internal Affairs, Community
Emergency Response Team Instructor and Emergency Vehicle
Judy Latta - Planning & Training
began her career with Madison County September 1, 2002. She was
hired as the Madison County Probate Clerk. While working in that
position Judy’s responsibilities were processing and recording
all paperwork regarding estate matters, guardianships,
conservatorships and name changes.
She was hired
at the Madison County Sheriff’s Office September 1, 2006.
Judy is Lt.
Blackwell’s assistant. She is responsible for new hire
paperwork, time sheets, uniform room inventory, academy
paperwork, training files as well as filing and record keeping.
When she’s not working her favorite thing to do is spend time
with her family. Her areas of training include P.O.S.T. rules
workshop in 2007 and 2008.
